The multi-hyphenate just made her directorial debut with the Netflix movie Woman of the Hour, which she also stars in.

“I remember a director once in a room full of 100 extras or something being like, ‘Hey, on this next one just try something. Just make something up. Just improv something,’” she recalled after being asked what the worst director’s note was that she’d ever received as an actor.
“And I did it and then the director called cut and came over and, once again in front of 100 extras, was like, ‘Oof, let’s go back to the script!’”
Anna went on to allege that the director’s actions were “a very specific power move thing to embarrass me, to gain dominance.” “It was very icky,” she added.
But Anna also revealed that she ultimately had the last laugh in the situation — literally.
“The thing that I improv’d ended up in the trailer,” she revealed, before delivering a message straight to the director: “So fuck you!”
