Matthew Perry “Truly Didn’t” Realize How Loved He Was Before His Death — And “Would Never Have Believed It”

In fact, Keith suggested to the publication that Matthew often felt like a failure due to the way that he could be perceived by fans in unflattering paparazzi photos. 

“There was a period where you’d pick up a tabloid and you’d see a picture of an overweight actor looking not great, walking along the street or going to a restaurant,” Keith explained. “And he, I think, had [felt] that he failed.”

“He didn’t understand that he was somebody who was loved — he would never have believed it,” Keith, who is married to Matthew’s mom, Suzanna Morrison, went on.
